About Our Pricing
These are "starts at" prices — meaning they represent a straightforward version of each job under normal conditions. The actual cost depends on factors like access difficulty, pipe condition, materials needed, and what we find once we're on-site. We always give you a firm price before we start. You approve it. We do the work. No surprises.

Good, Better, Best

On most jobs there's more than one way to do it — and the difference in price reflects the difference in what you're getting. We'll always explain your options and give you our honest recommendation. The choice is always yours. Here's what the tiers actually mean.

Tank Water Heater
Good
Standard 6-Year Unit
Does the job. Standard residential grade, widely available. Works fine in most homes but the anode rod is more vulnerable to Phoenix's hard water — expect shorter effective life.
Better
9-Year Brass-Port Unit
Better anode design, longer warranty, holds up significantly better against hard water. This is usually what we recommend for Phoenix homes — the upgrade pays for itself in longevity.
Best
Hybrid Heat Pump Water Heater
Uses ambient air instead of direct electric or gas — cuts water heating costs by up to 70%. 10+ year life, qualifies for rebates. Higher upfront, strong long-term ROI. Best for homeowners planning to stay.
Tankless Water Heater — Gas
Good
Entry-Level (6.5 GPM)
Handles one or two fixtures at a time. Works well for smaller households or lower simultaneous demand. Good entry point into on-demand hot water.
Better
Mid-Grade (9 GPM)
Handles whole-home demand — shower running while the dishwasher is going. The right size for most Phoenix homes. Condensing models reduce operating costs further.
Best
High-Efficiency Combi with Recirculation
Instant hot water at every tap, lowest operating cost, built-in recirculation pump. The full-featured option for homeowners who want the best performance and lowest long-term bills.
Water Softener
Good
Single-Tank Metered Softener
Handles Phoenix hardness effectively. Regenerates on a schedule or demand basis. Entry-level system that will protect your pipes, fixtures, and appliances — solid starting point.
Better
High-Capacity Twin-Tank System
Continuous soft water 24/7 — while one tank regenerates, the other runs. Better for larger households or high usage. No downtime means you're always protected.
Best
Whole-Home Salt-Free Conditioning System
No salt, no backwash, no maintenance cycle. Treats scale without removing minerals. Pair with a softener for the full solution — or use standalone for lower-maintenance whole-home protection.
Garbage Disposal
Good
½ HP Standard Motor
Handles everyday food scraps. Runs louder and works harder than it needs to on anything fibrous or dense. Fine for light use — will do the job.
Better
¾ HP Mid-Grade (Quieter, More Powerful)
Noticeably quieter, handles more without jamming, less likely to need a reset after challenging scraps. The step up most homeowners appreciate once they've had one.
Best
1 HP InSinkErator or Moen Premium
Stainless grinding chamber, sound insulation, 5–7 year warranty. Runs quiet enough that you have to check if it's on. Built to last and designed for a real kitchen.
Shower Valve Replacement
Good
Pressure-Balancing Valve
Code-required minimum. Prevents scalding when a toilet flushes or cold water is drawn elsewhere. Does its job reliably — this is the standard replacement on most homes.
Better
Thermostatic Valve
Holds your set temperature regardless of demand elsewhere in the house. No more adjusting every time someone runs the kitchen faucet. A real quality-of-life upgrade in the shower.
Best
Thermostatic + Dedicated Volume Control
Independent control of temperature and flow. Pre-set your temp, adjust volume separately. The premium shower experience — especially worthwhile if you're doing a bathroom refresh at the same time.
Whole-Home Repiping
Good
PEX-B
Flexible, durable, and the most common repipe material. Handles Phoenix temperature swings and hard water well. Properly installed, this is a solid 40–50 year solution.
Better
PEX-A (Uponor / Wirsbo)
Superior flexibility, expands rather than crimps at fittings, and handles freeze events better. Fewer failure points at connections. The preferred choice for quality-focused repipes.
Best
Copper
The gold standard — 70+ year proven track record, adds to home value, no plastic. Higher material and labor cost, but some homeowners specifically want copper and it's worth every dollar.

We'll walk you through what makes sense for your home, your budget, and how long you plan to stay. No pressure either direction — we just want you to make an informed call.

Cheaper Isn't Better

We hear it occasionally: "I found someone cheaper." That's fine — we're not the right fit for everyone. But we want you to understand what our pricing reflects, so you can make an informed decision.

Quality Materials
We don't substitute cheap components to hit a lower number. The parts we use are rated for Phoenix's hard water, extreme heat, and soil conditions — because we're building things to last.
Every Job Reviewed by a 40-Year Plumbing Expert
Every job is reviewed by a senior plumber with 40+ years in the trade. That review costs time. It also means you're not paying again in six months for a repair that wasn't done right.
Fully Covered Technicians
Our techs are licensed, insured, background-checked, and paid properly. That's built into our price — and it protects you if anything unexpected happens in your home.
No Callbacks Built Into the Model
Some contractors price low knowing they'll be back. We price to do it right the first time. The math works out in your favor.
"Some contractors build things to last. Others build things to get a callback six months after the warranty expires."

We know which one we are. And we know that the homeowner who hired the cheap plumber — the one who cut corners on the water heater installation, or used undersized pipe on the repipe, or didn't check the flange before setting the toilet — ends up paying more in the long run.

Our prices reflect what it actually costs to do the job correctly. Not the lowest number we can say to win the call.

If another quote is dramatically lower than ours, ask what's different. The answer usually tells you everything you need to know.
